How scarey! Putting myself 'out there' on a regular basis (perhaps).
OK, a bit about me to start with I guess. Those who have seen me on the forum or 'fourties 2' group know that I'm OBSESSED with my karate I train 3 - 4 times a week with one of those sessions being a 'double' - 2 hour session. Yesterday I graded to my 5th Kyu Blue belt with my training buddy Lisa. She is such an inspiration. It was only seeing her 'survive' for 6 months that I gave it a go (my kids had been doing it for 2 years then).
My first passion, of course, is my family. Husband Stephen, daughter Jessica (13) and son Daniel (11). Jess has Asperger's and a form of epilepsy, so it's not always smooth sailing in our household. It can be very stressful. She has been doing really well at school this year - I am so proud of her progress. The integration group at her school is BRILLIANT.
Then, there are my beagles (much to my husband's disgust). I show two of them at the moment - Pepper (4) and Rock (9mths) - mother and son. I have also just got a baby puppy from Queensland. Holly will start showing in January - I'm really looking forward to that. Pepper will have her last litter 2009 and then I will find her a pet home. I have only had her just over a year. She had had a litter before coming to me. She is a lovely girl, and fantastic in the show ring. My older boy is BJ (short for BeagleJuice). He is 5. He was bought from a 'backyard breeder' as a companion to my dobermann (who sadly died 2 yrs ago). The photo in my avatar is of Rock and his brother Saab at 8 weeks old. Rock is on the left.
At the moment, I don't have a job but, I'm looking! It is very hard to find something local that allows me to be there to drop off and pick Jess up. It is not safe for her to be on public transport - she is so easily led. I got knocked back for 2 nightfill jobs at Safeway (how embarrassing). So, I've applied for three office jobs instead - fingers crossed! Although, two of them are only 8 week stints, but you never know your luck in the big city - or Sth Eastern Suburbs
